Spanish Baroque Period 17th Century Fratino Console Table with Lyre Shaped Base XX267

"Spanish Baroque Period 17th Century Fratino Console Table with Lyre Shaped Base XX267"

A Spanish Baroque period Fratino wooden console table from the 17th century, with three drawers, lyre-shaped base and iron stretchers. Created in Spain during the 17th century, this Fratino wooden console table features a rectangular top sitting above three simple drawers comprising of wooden pulls. Their hand-cut dovetail construction reveals the piece's obvious good age. The table is raised on an elegant Baroque base made of carved lyre-shaped splaying legs connected to the top's underside through thin iron stretchers. The sides are sans décor and the back is made of three raised panels imitating the effects of the front drawers. The ensemble is mounted on petite tapered feet. With its graceful lines, rustic character and wonderful patina, this Spanish Baroque period Fratino console table from the 17th century will make for a great addition to any home, perhaps placed in a living room, anchored with a pair of candlesticks and a gilded mirror.
