A stunning pair of William IV period leather and mahogany framed desk or library chairs with horse shoe back rest terminating in carved mahogany scroll ends. The back rest is upheld by a central splat also two angled carved mahogany supports, which continue to form the rear splayed legs ending on the original brass and porcelain castors. Front legs are turned mahogany and again retain their original brass and porcelain castors. The seat and back retains the original "oxblood" colored buttoned leather hide covering. High quality cabinet making with first class materials and generous in proportions. England circa 1830.
