Created in France during the last quarter of the 19th century, this pair of bergères chairs showcases the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XVI era. Each chair features an oval shaped back, connected to two arms presenting curving supports and scrolling knuckles accented with carved acanthus leaves. The chairs are upholstered with a used fabric in a fair condition and are raised on four fluted tapering legs, adorned with carved rosettes on the knees.
