Grey Limestone Carved Head Of Guanyin

19th C. grey limestone carved head of Guanyin. Presented in the round with pleasant, naturalistic expression. Removed from a full figure of the Goddess of Mercy, now mounted on burled walnut base. Base, circa 1950. There is a softness to the carving and color of the stone that only comes with age. A fine addition to any collection.
