"Early 19th Century Porcelain Deep Charger"
KPM Scepter Mark, Porcelain Deep Charger, circa 1810-1815. Purest white ground with finely painted Roses, Violets, Hollyhocks, Chrysanthemums and a Turkish Poppy. Rocaille border picked out in gilt decoration with naturalisticaly modelled stalagtites emphasizing the Rococo bravura of this piece. The reverse decorated with a small butterfly. Hand painted and clearly marked, the charger measures 13 1/2" across and 2 1/2" deep. A one inch 19th Century repair is visible along the edge.
