"Portrait of a Seated Child – Jean-Claude Daniel – 1931"
Expressionist portrait of a child. The artist depicts him in three-quarter length, dressed in a turquoise green bathrobe, seated on a wooden stool and looking at the viewer. This painting was produced by the French painter Jean-Claude Daniel in 1931 and won first prize at an art exhibition in Berck (Pas-de-Calais), France, in the same year. We have yet to find additional information relating to this painter’s biography, but we continue to research. This oil on canvas mounted on cardboard is not signed, but a notation on the back identifies the name of the artist, the prize won and the date. There is a dedication: “To my little Caf (Cop?) ...
