Francis Barraud was a British painter, born June 16, 1856 in Liverpool and died August 29, 1924 in Kingston upon Thames.He is mainly known as the author of La Voix de son maître, a painting painted for the first time around 1898,
which was then used throughout the 20th century as an advertisement or logotype in the audiovisual industry (discs , record players, televisions...),
from 1900 by the Gramophone Company then by the subsidiaries of the EMI group which had absorbed the previous one in 1931.
