A Nude On Pink Sheet ,oil On Canvas By Auguste Leroux (1871-1954)

Parisian painter, Auguste LEROUX trained in drawing at the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris, he developed a great technique before being admitted in 1892 to the School of Fine Arts in Paris. Illustrator at his beginnings, he will quickly be recognized as a portraitist and intimate painter. Welcomed at the Salon of French Artists from 1898, he will find his audience who will remain faithful to him.

His younger brother is the painter Georges Paul Leroux (1877-1957),
winner of the Rome Prize for painting in 1906 and member of the Institut de France.
