A wonderful painting by the French draftsman, painter and illustrator Georges-Pierre Guinegault. Born in Rennes in Britanny, Guinegault was most noted for his everyday scenes and portraits, the inspiration of which he took from the beaches of his home regions. This painting captures the spirit of the 1930s and fully embraces the Post-Impressionistic style, rendering a mother and child on the beach in colorful clothing.
