Large Oil On Canvas Animated Landscape Painting.

Expertly painted copy of a famous painting by François Boucher now at the Musee Louvre.
In 1911 the original 1751 Boucher painting and its pendant were moved from being over door paintings in l'hotel de Rohan in Paris to be reframed and presented at the Musee Louvre.

It is my assumption that a very talented painter must have been engaged to make copies to be replacements in the original over door positions. It is also my assumption that at that same time the painting I am offering for sale was also commissioned to be painted by the same artist. The accuracy of this copy is exceptional. The picture frame is circa 1900 but not original.
