Claude-Émile Schuffenecker was a French Post-Impressionist artist, painter, art teacher, and art collector. A friend and colleague of Gauguin, Redon, Bernard, and Roy, Schuffencker was instrumental in establishing the famous 1889 Volpini Exhibition.
