Made in France in the late 1920's early 1930's this Chandelier could be an unsigned Muller ,two brother whose work was eagerly sought after with many chandeliers and art glass pieces . The crash of 1929 had a crippling effect on the business however, and in 1936 the Muller Freres studios finally closed its doors for the last time. Rough iron mounting with vine motive, original glass shade , rewired with American socket .It is the last time in France that it was possible to produce and offer brass pieces of this quality , the mass production of the 1950's was just around the corner and turned the page on small atelier to open the age of cost saving . The iron arm and design can be found with the work of Sube , Sue and Mare and other from this era .
