Jardin des coqs( Garden of roster ) was created in 1939 , one of this tapestry is part of the permanent collection at the " Pompidou center " in Paris from" Achat de l'Etat, 1940. Attribution au Musée national d'art moderne / Centre de création industrielle , 1942 " .It was a coded protest of the German occupation of France by germany in 1940 .Lurcat tapestry use the vocabulary of natural symbol like the sun , animal and musical instrument , mixing decorative subject with mythological scene .Jean Lurcat was a great master of Aubusson tapestry, where he produced over eight hundred original tapestries in his lifetime.
