Italy, Florentine, school of Benedetto da Maiano (late 15th century), The Madonna and Child, bronze pax, the Madonna and Child seated below a shell niche, 105 x 60mm (Molinier 546; Bange 327; Kress 283, fig. 27), dark patina, somewhat rubbed, plugged but a contemporary cast with later bronze loop attached to the back.
