English Edwardian Period Early 20th Century Silver Epergne with Five Flute Vases VAB81

"English Edwardian Period Early 20th Century Silver Epergne with Five Flute Vases VAB81"
An English Edwardian period silver epergne from the early 20th century, with five flute-shaped vases showcasing flaring mouths and beads, and oxidized patina. Created in England during the Edwardian era at the beginning of the 20th century, this elegant silver epergne features four small flute-shape vases with flaring mouths and petite beads, surrounding a larger central one supported by scrolling supports connecting all the parts together. Particularly praised from the mid-19th century period onward, epergnes were quintessential Victorian centerpiece decorative items, used to either display fruits, desserts or flowers. Our Edwardian silver epergne was likely made for flowers. Boasting a nicely oxidized patina revealing its age and use, this English Edwardian silver epergne from the early 20th century will make for a lovely decorative addition to any home, particularly place in the center of a table top.
