Unusual Rosewood/Palisandre Inlaid With Lemon Wood Marquetry and Ormolu Portico Clock Circa: 1850-70
The warm colour Rosewood case including the unusual inlaid pillars have very fine marquetry inlay work of grapes and vines leaves, the original ormolu (bronze doré) in original condition finely cast and chased, the original pendulum with ornaments and flowers the dial is silvered.
With original unusual ivory colour painted mouldings on the top and base.
The 8 day movement is fully cleaned and serviced, striking every 30 minutes on a bell
Overall in wonderful original condition with nice patination in fully working order
