Art Nouveau Charles Pourriol Very Rare and Stylish Fruitwood Mantel Clock.
Signed with the name of Charles Pourriol 1873-1910 a famous French illustrator
The front still with the original symbolic painting and text : a Chaque Heure Son Souvenir (every hour is a memory)
The clock is in very good original used condition including the paintwork, original brass hands, numbering and pendulum, there are no restorations.
The movement has been fully cleaned and serviced and is in fully working order, striking on a gong every 30 minutes.
The movement stamped: for A D Mougin.
Mougin was working circa 1900 in Montbéliard know for its clock makers, this logo stamp was won by Mougin in 1900 on exhibitions.
It is very rare to find a clock or other works of art of Charles Pourriol, most of the time you find his illustrations.
The clock is singed by Charles Pourriol in the wood on one side (see image)
