A pair of French Régence period walnut communication doors from the second quarter of the 18th century, with raised panels and iron hardware. Created in France during short Régence period which saw the transition of power between the Sun King and his great grandson and heir Louis XV who was still too young to reign, this walnut pair of French communication doors features a perfectly harmonious arrangement of four rows of panels adorned with raised and molded accents. The doors are fitted with handsome iron hardware with fleur-de-lys and scrolling motifs complimenting the linearity of the silhouette beautifully. The size of the panels alternates nicely on the façade, thus creating a lively effect. The doors are elegant seen on both sides. With its clean lines and great walnut patina, this pair of French Régence period communication doors circa 1730 will bring a touch of majesty to any room.
